THE PYRAMID ARENA EXTERIOR LIGHTING
A widely recognized, unique symbol of Memphis, The Pyramid is home to basketball teams, concerts and special events year round. Located in Memphis’ Central Business District, it is a 321-foot tall stainless steel clad structure.

THE ROYAL MIRAGE ARABIAN COURT INTERIOR
The owners wanted guests to feel as though they were transported to another, luxurious era once they passed through the main gate. Dramatic lighting, discretely installed helps achieve that vision.

MONTECASINO
The Tuscan theme extends from the exterior to interiors boasting the Southern Hemisphere’s largest ceiling expanse. Skillfully concealed fixtures give guests the theatrical impression of being outdoors at dusk in a romantic Italian village. Crowds from across Africa, Europe and the Indian subcontinent arrived for Montecasino’s grand opening.

THE SEATTLE SPACE NEEDLE
Seattle’s icon is redone with grace and precision, as intimate and distance viewing both are considered in the design. Because no other tall structures are within a wide radius, the Needle is viewed from countless vistas and angles. Importantly, the project garnered Landmarks Preservation Board and FAA approvals.

MGM GRAND GATEWAY OF ENTERTAINMENT
Everything truly is grand at the world’s largest hotel and casino property. Beyond creating spectacular visual effects, RDLD’s lighting met all other owner requirements, including concealed fixturing, power and load limitations and unobtrusive surveillance lighting. The lighting design even earned FAA approval for its dramatic sky beams.

CITY OF BRIDGES
The “City of Bridges” lighting project is the Bicentennial Legacy Gift to the people of Cleveland, Ohio. As soon as selection was made of the group of bridges to receive permanent architectural lighting, full design packages for all eight spans were completed in only six months. At the moment the switch was flipped during the culmination of the grand Bicentennial Celebration, a quarter million Clevelanders watched as their bridges became part of the celebration itself.

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY COURTHOUSE
RDLD’s exterior and landscape lighting design needed to pass both the Board of Curators’ and Architectural Review Board’s scrutiny, as well as the boards’ mandate that the specimen foliage not be disturbed, or even pruned, during the lighting process. RDLD succeeded on all counts, earning commendations and thanks from several active community groups. This project also has the distinction of being a working lighting laboratory for lighting fixture manufacturer BEGA US, which underwrote the entire project, and then donated the system to the county for $1.00.
